One of the tallest native hardwoods, with distinctive tulip-shaped leaves and greenish-orange spring flowers.
Fast growing but needs deep, well-drained soil. Drops twigs and flowers — plant away from patios and walkways.
Generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.
